Optimisation

We measure what you pay and what it returns.

Companies rarely add up their subscriptions. Listing them usually turns up duplicates, accounts of people who left, and tools nobody opens.

« We are surely paying for things we no longer use, but we do not know which. »

Why the bill grows

Wasted spend rarely comes from a bad purchase.

It came in through the side door

A fifteen-euro subscription taken out for a one-off need. Three years later it is still being charged and nobody knows who opened it.

Licences stay after people leave

An account is added when someone joins. It is rarely removed when they leave, because nobody is responsible for doing it.

A way of working outlived its reason

The spreadsheet has been filled in by hand every Monday for six years, because a tool could not produce it in 2020. It can now.

How we work

We work with your teams, because they are the ones who know.

A list of subscriptions can be read in the accounts. Knowing whether a tool is useful means talking to the people who open it, or who stopped. They are the ones who explain why.

We cut nothing without you. You get the list, the costs, the usage and the dependencies: the decision stays yours, and it is made on figures.

The method

What we measure, and in what order.

  1. Step 1

    The full cost

We cost each tool over a year, licences and storage included. Monthly charges add up badly in your head, and yearly ones get forgotten.

  2. Step 2

    Real usage

We count the people who open the tool in a month and compare them with the accounts that exist. The gap is often half.

  3. Step 3

    Overlaps

We spot tools doing the same job, bought by two different departments. It is the first saving, and the easiest to decide on.

  4. Step 4

    Dependencies

We check what falls over if you cut, because a blind cut can break invoicing on the 30th.

  5. Then

    The processes

We remove repeated steps that no longer have a reason. They cost hours, and hours cost more than licences.

What you are spared

What you will not have to do.

  • Comb through twelve months of bank statements line by line.
  • Chase every vendor for the detail of your licences.
  • Guess who still uses what.
  • Cut a tool and find out what depended on it.

What we do not do.

  • We do not promise a percentage saved before we have seen your figures.
  • We do not replace a tool that works with ours on the grounds that it is ours: the comparison is made on cost and usage.

Let us start with the list.

The inventory alone is often enough to decide. Tell us where you stand and we will tell you what to look at first.
